Allure

The red soil was rich but compacted. There was much bush undergrowth that needed to be cleared. However, our greatest avantage was that the land had been left untended. This translated to a basic natural self-healing process, that provided a gentle foundation for our recovery. We unfortunately badly trimmed the mango trees since there were really stinging red ants that feel on your unsuspecting self, leading to many a merry dance.

Over the course of 6 months, I learned much about mulching with sugarcane scraps and mushroom substrate. We rotated the greens, and grow okra and tomatoes. We had abumper harvest of raddish, corn, spinach and coriander. Cabbage, cauliflower and bok choi had problems, while celery and gongura and 1000+ lettuce since we did not have a proper sale system setup.
